Earlier in March (2016), I received a special package at my door!
It was not a package for my parents, my siblings nor I, it turned out to be a package for THE DOGS!!!*GIVEAWAY AVAILABLE AT THE END OF THE POST*
The story started like this. Simbae approached me and asked if I would like to test out some of their doggy products! I was not very aware of their brand, and did a little research before I responded. I found out a few things about Simbae and thought they seem pretty reputable and decided to give it a go! The ingredients they use in their products sounds of great quality too!
*Kindly note that I am not paid for this post. I am however, sponsored some products to try out. My opinions on these products are of my own and are honest reviews.*
Before I begin my review, here’s a few things about Simbae :
– Simbae’s products uses premium grade ingredients from Europe & Australia
– The ingredients used are bio-degradable and sustainable
– Simbae products can be found in various countries – Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, UK, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia

I especially love how Simbae included this page on their site which shows you the different ingredients used in various Simbae products and the benefits of it! They also did the took the effort of showing you what they WON’T use in their products!
Simbae’s Long Haired Shampoo for Roxy – 10yo Pomeranian
Simbae’s Fabulous Fur Shampoo for Angel – 8mo Poodle
Simbae’s Sensitive Skin Conditioner for Moo Moo – 6yo Shih Tzu
For all shampoos (Long Haired & Fabulous Fur), the texture is rather nice – it is not too gooey and not too watery either which makes it great as it can slide into their coat smoothly and have a good coverage on the fur. You need not pump out too much of the product for their baths as you might do with some other products.
Their fragrance is nice, and I like that it is not too strong. Roxy tends to sneeze if perfume or other strong scented products are used on her body. In fact, she’ll also tend to give a sneeze if I do apply perfume myself. So far, with Simbae’s shampoo, Roxy seemed really comfortable. This to me, is a plus point! Imagine having to go about your day with a strong scent you hate that keeps following you wherever you go!
Another thing I like about Simbae’s product is that the shampoos come with pumps! Woohoo! I’ve always preferred pumps as they are quick and very convenient to use – especially when you have your hands full chasing after a dog! Some dogs enjoy baths and some doesn’t. We have a mix of both bath lovers & haters among our three, so I am very grateful for shampoo bottles with pumps! All my doggy bath products – shampoo/conditioner etc are also placed neatly on the floor. Having a pump bottle helps whereby it doesn’t spill when your dog accidentally topples it over!
Initially, I used the recommended Long Hair Shampoo on Roxy (Pom). However, in my honest opinion, I didn’t really enjoy using this product on Roxy very much. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t stand out for me either. I enjoyed the points I mentioned above, but the result after her baths were merely average. Good thing, being the caretaker of all 3 dogs, I had the freedom to try any products on any of the dogs (hehehe!).
Roxy (brown) and Angel (white)
I manage to try out the Fabulous Fur Shampoo on Roxy and to my surprise, her fur DOES feel more FABULOUS! haha! In other words, it was softer, smoother, and gave a fluffier look to her coat! To double check with this, I used the Fabulous Fur Shampoo again on her next bath and got the same results!
According to Simbae, with the Long Hair Shampoo, you should compare the strength of the fur along with the shiny-ness of the coat. After a few applications you should see that the hair is easier to brush, smoother and result in lesser hair fall. I have not seen these results just yet, but I’m ready to give another go for the Long Hair Shampoo. And perhaps after another month of so, I will update you guys here again.
The Sensitive Skin Conditioner is fairly suitable for Moo Moo (Shih Tzu).
Here’s a few things to learn about Moo Moo :
1. She doesn’t fancy baths
2. She has sensitive skin
3. Her fur is not rough, but not as smooth and soft as Angel or Roxy.
I’m fairly happy with this product as, by using a LEAVE-ON conditioner, Moo Moo doesn’t have to go through the extra minutes of torture when using a typical doggy conditioner! Furthermore, this product is made for sensitive skin, in which she has (Of course, I don’t see an instant result in her skin, but I do believe the ingredients used is gentle enough for her skin). After applying the product on Moo Moo, I used a slicker brush to gently brush the conditioner into the coat. After a short moment of brushing, her fur does seem to feel smoother than it usually is.
Overall, I’m most happy with how the fragrance is not too strong, and very very impressed with their ingredients used (Check this page out!!! SOOOO informative!!!). All three of them are indoor dogs (Roxy goes out occasionally) so they don’t smell very much. They all seem comfortable with the smell, so I’m happy. However if your dogs tend to have a stronger body odour, you might want to get an extra doggy perfume that you find suitable for your furkids. As you can tell, my favourite product from Simbae as of now, is the FABULOUS FUR shampoo. I have yet to try the conditioner, but I hope it works just as nicely.. because…. it’s….
