Popsicles / Ice Lollies are extremely easy to make. All you have to do is get some flavoured water, freeze it, and walah! Popsicles are born!
However, if you’re having a party or a simple get together, here’s something that will make your popsicles really ‘pop’!
EDIBLE FLOWER POPSICLES
Here’s what you’ll need :
1) Any flavoured liquid
(I used 7up, but you can use anything you like)
2) Edible Flowers
(Click here for a list of edible flowers. You can also get some from your local grocer. I got mine from Cold Storage)
3) Popsicle Mould
4) Food Colouring (optional)
Prepare your popsicle moulds and the liquid of your choice. If you are planning to make coloured popsicles, you may mix your food colouring with your liquid now. I’ve prepared several different colours as well as a colourless one so you all can see the different results.
It is extremely easy to make this. You just need to learn 3 simple steps.
1) Pour some (not too much) flavoured liquid into the mould. I would suggest just about a quarter first.
2) Add edible flowers into the mould
3) Put into the freezer to chill
Once you got all these steps down, you’ll have no problem finishing the popsicle! All you have to do is repeat the steps once the previous part of the popsicle is frozen.
Do remember to add the popsicle stick into the liquid when the liquid level is high enough. Continue step 1-3 till the popsicle is done!
For best display results, try to put your flowers near the sides where it is more likely to be seen than if it were to be in the middle.
Here are some of the few I’ve made.
With orange colouring
With pink colouring (you can also use ribena)
Blue colouring with purple flowers. These are my absolute favourite!

And that’s how easy it is!
