Happy Paws Bakery is a home-based dog treats bakery store, offering all natural, fresh & healthy treats in Malaysia and Singapore. The lady behind the business is Valerie – Mom to the two lovely Goldens, Cookie & Happy.

A couple of months back, Happy Paws Bakery was promoting their Mao Shan Wang (durian) cookies for dogs. When Val asked how many dogs we have at home, I mentioned that we have 3 but since Muffin was just a young pup (she was just about 6 or 7 weeks old), durian cookies might be heaty for her. Val then insisted to prepare a box for Muffin as well with her other flavoured treats. How nice of her!

When the boxes came about, I was surprised to find this :
roxy 8A variety of treats from Happy Paws Bakery in each pups’ box!
There’s the Salmon cookies and Mao Shan Wang cookies with personalized names! Then there’s the Chicken Jerky, Salmon Chip and Green Lipped Mussel treat.

The first treat Roxy tried was the Salmon Cookies with her name on it. Perfect for a (or a few) photograph!

All the cookies come in an adorable bone shape with the pup’s name customized on it. Roxy loved both the salmon and the durian cookies. You can definitely smell them once the packet is opened. I love love love how the salmon one smelled! It was tempting to take a bite out of it. heh!

‘More please!’

Next up, the chicken jerky!

Chicken Jerkies are rather common in the doggy world. You can find them everywhere in most pet stores.
However, one thing about the chicken jerkies here is that you’ll know they’re homemade, fresh and healthy!

Salmon chip! Ok. I love all the treats from Happy Paws Bakery so far, but I have 2 top favourites.
Which of course, I saved till the end of the post! Here comes the super yummy salmon treat snack!

What makes it my favourite treat is how happy it makes Roxy when she eats it. I’ve given Roxy a lot of treats in her life – especially with her being 9years old.
Also, I love changing up my choices of treats for a larger variety of flavour. Almost all treats make Roxy a really happy pup, but to my surprise, she had a completely different reaction eating this salmon chip treat! I was already feeding her the cookies and jerkies above, and she, of course, was already excited. Though when I gave her the salmon chip treat, she seems to be ever more excited and was running about in my room and then back to the bean bag hoping for another treat. She offered me tricks she knew like sit pretty and lying down to show me she’s a good girl. The salmon chip too smelled really really good. It was soft and easily breaks if you want to tear it into a few pieces. I did that and still, it finished rather quickly. Haha! This is on my wishlist for Roxy’s future ‘special’ treats.

My next favourite has got to be the green lipped mussel. Unfortunately, I do not have another photo of Roxy and it. I gave it to her at a different time and did not snap a photo. The green lipped mussel treat is hard and very crispy! Happy Paws is also fairly generous as the mussel is a good large size. Once opened, you can immediately smell the saltiness of the sea. I’m not even kidding. The smell is so strong! Most dogs enjoy smelly (or strong smelling) treats, and Roxy definitely enjoyed this one too!
Not only is the green lipped mussel loved by a number of dogs, I’ve heard that it is also good for older dogs with joint problems.

roxy 11Happy Paws Bakery has got to be one of my favourite homemade treat store. A huge thumbs up to the Salmon Chip and Green Lipped Mussel. If you prefer cookie base, I’d definitely recommend the salmon cookie. Durian cookies will only be available when durians are in season, so do check out their Facebook Page for that. Other than all these yummy dog treats mentioned above, Happy Paws Bakery also have many other varieties to choose from!
