DIY | Beauty and the Beast Stained Glass Frame Deco

Hi everyone! Today’s tutorial will be on making a beautiful rose decor piece.
I had a spare frame lying around and wanted to do something stained glass related. With the Beauty and the Beast movie just released early in the year, I thought that would be a fantastic piece to work on.

I found a Beauty and the Beast Rose design (Only the rose with the bell jar) on google and added in my own stained glass background. I cut it the pieces out on vinyl with my plotter and stuck it to the frame.
You can purchase a custom decal piece for this project here : Etsy Custom Decal

I’m already in love with just the decal piece!

Flip the frame over and paint the back in with glass paint. I’m using Pebeo Vitra 160.
Carefully fill the pieces in, slightly overlapping the black line (so it doesn’t show when you flip it over).

I find it best not to paint boxes next to each other unless they are of the same color. Reason being, the color would bleed into one another if they’re still wet. For stained glass, it’d be best to have just one color in each box.

Removing bubbles is kinda tricky. If you have a heat gun, gently heat the surface so the bubble rises and  would go ‘pop!’ I didn’t have a heat gun then and left some of the bubbles as they still look nice.

Here’s the outcome for the completed piece!
