Costa D’oro | Gold Coast, Australia

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER!!!!
The food is super yums!! Especially the Chicken Costa D’oro! I’ll share more about it later.Costa D’ora is a lovely Italian place with wonderful ambience and food. The servers are friendly and extremely helpful and recommended the right dishes for us first time visitors! This is how the place looks like. It extends a bit further in and they also have an outdoor side but I do not have a photo of it. That guy right there stayed really still and just smiled when my camera points towards his direction.

Fettuccine D’oro
Fettuccine served with King Prawns, Spinach and Bacon in a creamy (so they say) garlic sauce.
I really like this dish! It is flavourful but can be blended out when you eat the other dishes like Chicken D’oro. I like how the sauce is light yet tasty. It’s said to be a creamy garlic sauce, but it wasn’t really as creamy – though the flavour and mixture of everything overall is still great. The bacon has a soft texture that goes along well with the juicy prawns.

Scaloppine Funghi
Veal with fresh mushroom and shallots drenched in a creamy sauce served with french beans, potatoes, carrot and garlic. The sauce is really flavourful and yummy too. Much stronger compared to the Fettuccine. It’s really yummy. I initially believed this would be my favourite dish (because I prefer veal over chicken), but it’s surprisingly not. My favourite dish is the one coming up next!

Chicken Costa D’oro!!!!!!
The BEST chicken dish I’ve had since FOREVER!!!
I’m not a huge fan of chicken. If there’s beef or lamb, I’ll always always always choose those over chicken. However, this time round, this dish really surprised me! The flavour pretty much burst in your mouth when it touches your taste buds! DELICIOUS! Like SUPER!

Chicken Costa D’oro is basically chicken breast cooked in a creamy teriyaki & mushroom sauce served with daily cooked vegetables – in this case, potatoes, french beans, broccoli and carrots. I am also not a fan of chicken breast. I’m more of a thigh or drumstick person. This chicken breast served in this dish was absolutely yums! It’s tender and juicy and goes superbly well with the gravy! All 4 of us loved it and pretty much scooped and drank up the gravy! I was wishing the gravy never finishes. This is definitely a MUST try!

Yum yum yum!

My dear friends and I dining at Costa D’oro

How we end up dining here?
We walk pass this place one night while heading back to our airbnb accommodation. It looks good and we were keen to try it out, but didn’t think too much about it. Another night, we were in the area and just walking through (Their indoor restaurant is on one side, then split by a walkway and continued the other side – outdoors) when a lady turned to us, pointed to the restaurant and said ‘BEST RESTAURANT EVER’, then she went off to her existing dinner table. We decided then to dine there and no regrets! I absolutely love it and agree that it’s the best restaurant ever! (at least for me it is)
